RuDASA reflects on Health Ombud findings on healthcare workers’ deaths in KwaZulu-Natal

The Rural Doctors Association of Southern Africa (RuDASA) has published a discussion in which Dr Indira Govender and Dr Adam Asghar examine the Health Ombud’s report into the deaths of public healthcare workers in KwaZulu-Natal.

The discussion explores the report’s findings and highlights the systemic challenges within the provincial Department of Health and the wider health system. It raises important questions about working conditions, institutional accountability and the need to address the underlying factors affecting the well-being of healthcare workers.
